City Protocol for Urban Life Sustainability Empowerment

We designed the City PULSE protocol to motivate and incentivize participants in shaping a better future.

Introduction & Background

Population projections diagram

The world as we know it is rapidly changing and developing. These changes are more noticeable in cities, due to the fact that 60% of people live in them and it is estimated that by 2050, additional 6 billion people will have moved to the city, in the search for beter education, job opportunity, or a diferent lifestyle.

Because of it, city life is becoming more difficult due to overpopulation, food, energy and infrastructure requirements, increased polution and traffic blockage. In order to addres these isues, the UN has been discussing multiple elements that society has to strive for, in an atempt to improve the curent situation.

Sustainable Development Goals

Sustainable Development Goals(SDG), set up by the UN in 2015, are created in a form of guidelines, bound to improve the curent situation on the planet. They have the purpose of creating a more sustainable and safer alternative to everyone’s daily life. Cities are an important part of these goals, as they are the first to have to adapt and live up to the challenges.

We think that it is important for cities to start cooperating with their citizens, bussineses and visitors in order to motivate them to participate.

Cities have to become more interactive and adaptive while citizens have to acept the changes.

PULSE Protocol

Population projections diagram
We designed the City PULSE protocol to motivate and incentivize participants in shaping a better future.

The PULSE platform will be a ground base and technical infrastructure upon which anyone with an important, SDG-compliant idea, can build their application. It is a transparent, decentralized and secure solution developed to help educate and, through the reward system, further atract people toward sustainability and a beter lifestyle.

In order to kickstart the project, we will be shipping our protocol along with several pre-built applications, providing inspiration for others in developing new solutions

Cycling and carpooling for clean air

We think that if citizens are rewarded for taking bicycles to get to work or carpooling (ride sharing), we will reduce polution and traffic jams.

Our platform will initially have an application which will reward them for cycling or carpooling.

Education for all

Our protocol will be shipping and offering the infrastructure for all its users to share knowledge about educating local governments and busineses on how to be compliant with these goals and by educating the media on how to understand and report on them through the application for creating offline or online courses, and related events.

Recycling

If recycling efforts were to become effective, there has to be an incentive for citizens to make some modification in their daily lives when it comes to their trash disposal habits. Therefore we will be shipping an impartial reward application for citizens who recycle.

Local goverment support

The key to all efforts is to actively include local governments in to the project. If we manage to attract enough people to cycle or carpool, local government could support it by building more carpooling or cycling lanes.

We will be providing an application through which local authorities or citizens can suggest and vote for the best proposals and next city projects.

Our Team

We are proud to work with those brilliant people willing to focus 100% of their time to make a better future for all of us.

Roadmap & Project Timelines

We have a lot of work ahead of us, and currently, we are in the design and prototype development phase of our applications. Our estimate is that in the following 3-6 months our platform will reach minimum viable product.

Conclusion

Since the world’s effort for reaching Sustainable Development Goals is well underway, it is important for everyone to start thinking globally and to start acting locally. With the City PULSE protocol, everybody can start an important initiative to help cities become more sustainable and shape the future
